Getting Back to Basics

2011 has arrived with renewed passions to make our lives glorify God! Our family had spent the last weeks of December thinking over our 2010 year and all its ups and downs...a new job, a new home, a new church and school, new friends, new places to visit, and a new area of trust...the miscarriage of our fourth child. Life changes, but God is unchangeable. He was and is faithful. His presence still ever-present. His comfort still comforting. His wisdom still guiding and leading. His love still standing, which is why we are still standing. Wisdom urges us to plan and make new goals in the season of grieving.
As a couple, our major goals are all tied to discipline. Disciplining ourselves to recommit our spiritual lives to the Lord. Disciplining ourselves as parents to open the Word more, pray more, guide better. Disciplining our bodies to exercise more and changing our menu to eat more clean. We prune our lives to make room for better growth. We do our part by the Lord's strength to make 2011 another year of blessing.

  1. I cannot imagine living life without the knowledge and comfort that God is unchanging. Yet how often do I forget that?
