A dear friend encouraged me back into blogging...it must be the teacher in her. So to her, I dedicate this new entry...and the ice cream sandwich I am trying to eat while typing.
In the next six weeks, a new chapter will begin for my family, but this is not my time to reflect on that. No, instead, I write about the process of waiting. Most people hate to wait, but I have come to like it. It is those pockets of time that I can sit back easily, read a few more chapters, or surf the internet in my endless effort to find inspiration from women who long for traditional living. Traditional anymore means homemade to me. So in the season of waiting, I hug a little longer, declutter a little more, drink another cup of coffee, watch another episode of Road to Avonlea, or daydream of owning my own farmhouse one day. All the while, enjoying Christ's friendship and the small talks we have throughout the day. My joy is now, in the present, a lesson still being learned.
Here are my daily treats: www.aholyexperience.com or www.maryjanesfarm.com
Welcome back. I've missed you! I read the posts today on fb that you and John wrote and wow - you're moving! Best wishes on a smooth transition. Now go eat another ice cream sandwich for me
ReplyDeleteHello Kristen! I didn't know you were a blogger:) I love reading blogs but don't have much time to write them anymore. This is a beautiful post, I do NOT like to wait! This is an area that God has been really working on in my life. I hope the new chapter in your life in a great one filled with many blessings:)
