What Have We Become?

Nothing grieves my spirit more than the abortion holocaust going on right now in America. In the past months, I have heard more about our economy than the fact that innocent babies are being murdered on American soil everyday...more concern about our social security, more cries of frustration about our financial future, than the deaths of American children. Our country has set its hope and future on money, but in the book of Proverbs, the wisest and richest man ever, speaks of its "wings." I can only imagine the heart of God as we cry over our money more than precious life. As I write this, I am reminded of a time when I visited the Jewish Holocaust Museum in D.C. The museum starts your tour out from the beginning where the wicked began their plot against the Jewish nation. As you go through the tour, you see how one thought led to action which led to murder...and murder of millions. By the time I got to the end of the tour, I was sick to my stomach and needed fresh air...almost feeling panic...my heart was torn. Thankfully at the end of the tour, the museum has a place to regather your emotions. Here the walls were filled with God's Word. One verse written on a large black wall, "Ye are my witnesses." God has seen all of the horrors of the Jewish Holocaust and sees our present day one. There is only difference. America came to rescue the Jews from this war. Where are we now? Why aren't we defending our children, our very own? What have we become? God comforts me with this verse, "If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." ~I Chronicles 7:14
